Life

I love life. I am generally a happy person, and pretty easy going. I have to tell you that at this moment, I am sooooooooooooo happy. In 3 hours I am picking the boys up from school, driving to S.L. to trade cars with Brandon, and heading up to Park City for my "Sassy Scrappin' Retreat!" This is one of the things that keep me going through the year. Each spring and fall, I get to disappear for 4 days {thank you Bran :) }. Then I come home and life is easier, and I am more able to be a good mommy6. And by the time that I fear I will explode again, it's time for my next get away.
I love You, my wonderful family, for letting me get away. And this year I am so thankful for several friends letting my kids invade their houses Friday night. My free babysitter got married 2 weeks ago, and lives in Texas, so now I have to plan like all my other friends!!
**JenJen, you will be missed. Take care of your new baby, and know we're thinking of ya!
See Ya'll in a couple days!

TOTALLY GONNA WIN!!!!!

I heard about this awesome new blog from Ali, one of my Sassy Sisters! So, I had to check it out, and they are having a contest. I had a hard time choosing which watch band I wanted to win. I love the Sassy Silver (because I am a Sassy). But I have to go with...Black and White. I am too practical, and this one I would wear everyday (at least until I can afford to buy another, and another, and another, and.....)!

Go Me!
Check them out!!

Tarantula

Thomas is in first grade this year, and has a great teacher, Mrs. Jones. One thing that all the kids like about her is that she has a pet tarantula. Yeah, really. So, the kids earn "tarantula points" and when they have enough, then Maybell comes to class. They got to see her the first time, and touch her the second time, and hold her the third time. Amazing. Parents can see her if they come on tarantula day, but they cannot touch because they are not in her class, and didn't earn it.

Last week was our last SEP conference, and Maybell was there. Brandon and the twins had seen her before, but I had not. So after the meeting, Mrs Jones got Maybelle's cage out. Liv wanted to touch her, and Mrs Jones said that if mom would touch her, that Liv and Alex could too. Well, now I had been dared.

Thomas touched her first, to show me how. Then I put my hand in and touched her. Ewwww! Actually, they are kind of fuzzy. Then, Olivia reached in and touched her!!! Alex tried, but chickened out twice. "maybe when I'm older" he said. Mrs Jones said that Liv is the 1st younger sibling to actually touch the tarantula. She was very impressed!!!!!
